Jill Worrall (New Zealand)

I am self employed as a social work consultant. I have been a member of IFCO since 1984 and organiser of the two IFCO Conferences in New Zealand.  I have a PhD in Social work and Cultural Studies, and an MSW in Social Work.

I am a retired University Senior Lecturer at Massey University New Zealand and am a Director on two boards, one as Chair.  I have been a foster parent for 20 years and a foster care social worker and social work agency manager from 1980 until 1994 and Past CEO of SAFE. I was a founding member of the New Zealand Family and Foster Care Federation and have held many roles in that organisation including Chairperson.

I have governance experience in the social services field and a long history in Foster and kinship care.  I was raised in kinship care.  I am well published academically. I have worked internationally, having worked over a period of 5years in Tajikistan on a de-institutionalisation project, lectured overseas and am experienced in project evaluation and strategic planning.

Our new website will be ready early in 2019. In the meantime you can still join, connect, learn and share at the current IFCO website. Don’t forget that you can also hang out with us on Facebook (link?) or keep up to date via Twitter (link?) 2629746000
