Stakeholders in Foster Care

This study, by Shanti George and Nico van Oudenhoven, provided new input into the debate and practice of Foster Care. It extracted lessons from countries which represent different kinds of economic and social development.

Material was included on Foster Care experiences in developing countries, which tends to be informal and undocumented. Foster Care was examined by George and van Oudenhoven in the context of the family, social networks, the state and non-governmental organizations.

Stakeholders in Foster Care was released in 2002 and has been published in Spanish, Bulgarian and Ukrainian. Unfortunately, the study is currently out of print and is unavailable for republication but please keep checking back to see if Stakeholders in Foster Care becomes available again in the near future.
