Attending an IFCO conference is a wonderful and unique experience. Each conference focuses on a theme related to foster care and we invite submissions from speakers who are leading experts and practitioners in their field. Alongside the adult conference programme we also host a parallel youth programme. The youth programme aims to empower young people to become leaders and advocates.
Many participants return to IFCO conferences again and again, often bringing their whole family with them. This is partly because of the wonderful social programme which accompanies an IFCO conference. Many opportunities to connect, network and have fun are built into an IFCO conference.
Most famously the IFCO opening ceremony incorporates a flag ceremony where children and young people in attendance form a parade and show flags representing every country in attendance.
